Ghanaian musicians Medikal and D Black have patched things up after a video surfaced that appeared to show D Black lighting a cigar for Medikal's ex-wife, Fella Makafui. D Black addressed the matter and said he wished Medikal had gotten in touch with him in private rather than criticising him in public on social media. He made it clear that he was not aware of the divorce at the time and had no ill intent.
D Black described the incident in detail, saying that Fella Makafui asked him to light her cigar when she came to his club with a group of twenty people. She quickly went after getting what she wanted, leaving D Black alone. Conversely, Medikal acknowledged that the video made him declare his divorce in order to stop people asking him where Fella was.
He clarified that his spontaneous social media response was a reflection of his feelings at the moment. Both artists apologised to one another and gave each other a hug during an interview with Bola Ray on Starr FM, ending their argument. They both laughed for a brief while as well, remembering the lighthearted jabs they used to trade in their songs during the contentious time. The presenter, Bola Ray, applauded their reconciliation and urged them to keep peace by preserving harmony in the future. Watch the following video to see D Black and Medikal smoking a peace pipe:
